Description

Naida Zucker Refuge: Chimayo Signed Limited Edition Print 8/25 – Framed

This is a signed, limited-edition mixed-media print titled “Refuge: Chimayo” by Southern New Mexico artist Naida Zucker (edition 8/25). Zucker is known for her innovative process blending gelatin monoprinting (photoHectography) with digital photography to create layered, richly textured imagery that marries photographic detail with painterly qualities.

The work depicts the iconic Santuario de Chimayó, a historic adobe mission and spiritual refuge in northern New Mexico, rendered in warm earth tones and atmospheric sky wash that reflect the region’s light and landscape. The composition is printed on archival quality paper and hand-signed by the artist below the image, with the edition number noted at center.

Zucker was a biology professor and zoologist before turning to art, and her scientific sensibility often informs her keen observation of natural forms and light in her prints. Today she exhibits widely with groups such as The Border Artists, a respected Southern New Mexico collective, and has been featured in regional galleries and exhibitions.

Beautifully framed in a distressed wood frame, this piece is a striking example of contemporary Southwestern printmaking, suitable for collectors of regional art and innovative mixed media.
