Amado Peña Limited Edition Ceramic Tile #48/100 – “Three Figures” Southwestern Series, Framed
Limited edition ceramic tile artwork by acclaimed Southwestern artist Amado Maurilio Peña Jr. (American, b. 1943), numbered 48/100 and signed “amado” in glaze. Peña, an enrolled member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona, is recognized for his bold, modernist depictions of Native and Hispanic life in the American Southwest. This composition features three stylized women in profile, their long dark hair and patterned garments rendered in rich red, turquoise, and green tones against a textured brown field. The rhythmic repetition of form and line embodies Peña’s signature approach to cultural symbolism and abstraction.
Professionally framed in a gold-tone metal frame, this edition is part of Peña’s rare series of signed ceramic artworks—sought after for their color, craftsmanship, and sculptural presence.
Condition:
Good condition overall. The tile surface displays excellent gloss and coloration without visible chips or cracks. Frame shows light scratching and handling wear. Backing paper is partially torn along edges, as shown in photos.
