Artesanías Guanajuato Majolica Plates & Bowl – Hand Painted Mexico
Colorful hand-painted Majolica pottery set from Artesanías de Guanajuato, Mexico, including two round plates and one square bowl. Each piece features a vibrant bird-and-foliage motif in rich greens, yellows, blues, and browns, framed by traditional border designs. The undersides are marked “A GTO. MEXICO.”
Expertly crafted in the celebrated Dolores Hidalgo region, these pieces embody the artistry of Guanajuato’s tin-glazed earthenware tradition. Both plates include wire hangers for easy wall display, while the bowl is perfect as a serving or decorative centerpiece.
Condition
Good condition overall, with no chips, cracks, or structural damage noted. Glaze remains bright with light wear from prior display. Maker’s marks clearly visible on undersides.
