Reprosa Panama Chunga Basket — Emberá/Wounaan Floral, 6" Dia
Handmade Chunga basket retailed by Reprosa “Treasures of Panama,” with original tag/booklet. Finely coiled chunga palm fibers, naturally dyed, form a rounded globular vessel with an eight-point star to the base and stylized floral/foliage bands around the body. The palette - natural cream, deep green/teal, pink, red, and black - contrasts crisply against the dark rim. The workmanship and motifs are characteristic of Emberá/Wounaan weavers from Darién, Panama, and make a striking display piece for shelf or tabletop.
