Christian Ulbricht Doctor Nutcracker — West Germany, 14.5" Oak
Handcrafted “Holzkunst Christian Ulbricht” doctor nutcracker, made in West Germany, circa late 1970s–1980s. Solid oak with carved limbs and lever-operated jaw, outfitted with head mirror, stethoscope, large syringe, green apron, and a white medical bag with red cross. Maker’s burn mark to underside reads “Holzkunst Christian Ulbricht – Handmade in West-Germany,” and the original hang tag remains attached. A classic Erzgebirge figure with charming display presence—perfect for nutcracker, German folk art, or holiday collections.
Condition:
Good overall with age-appropriate wear. Noted wear/roughness to the strap on the doctor’s bag; scattered minor handling marks. Colors present nicely and the jaw mechanism operates normally. Please see photos for details.
