Description

Dansk Teak Mid-Century Snack Service — Cheese Board & 3-Way Bowl

Why Dansk teak? Because Jens Quistgaard turned everyday serveware into sculpture. This maker-marked duo pairs a rounded-square cheese board—complete with the Danish “thumb well” for one-handed carrying—with a round, three-section bowl for nuts, olives, or sauces. Both are crafted in staved teak: small blocks of teak laminated for strength and that striking, striped grain Dansk is loved for. The IHQ attribution refers to Quistgaard’s designer mark; stamps for Denmark or Malaysia date most examples to the 1960s–80s.

We’ve included (4) textured nutcrackers and (15) matching picks, so your “Mad Men” cocktail hour is instantly stocked. Tip for longevity: hand-wash, dry promptly, and refresh with a light food-safe mineral oil—teak rewards a little care with decades of glow. A practical set that also teaches a mini masterclass in Scandinavian modern design.

Good overall with signs of use: scattered light scratches, utensil marks, and minor finish wear from normal handling. No cracks or structural concerns noted; clean and ready for service. Please review photos.
