Paul Vigil Jemez Pueblo Polychrome Pottery Bowl, NM

Hand-coiled and painted pottery bowl signed “P. Vigil / Jemez Pue., N.M.” on the base, attributed to Paul Vigil of Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico. This traditional Jemez polychrome piece features geometric and feather motifs rendered in natural red, brown, and tan pigments. The artist’s skillful brushwork and balanced composition highlight the enduring aesthetic of Pueblo pottery, blending symbolic patterning with a harmonious rounded form.

An appealing mid- to late-20th-century example of Jemez craftsmanship, ideal for collectors of Native American pottery and Southwestern art.
