Turid Pedersen “Mimbres Elegy” signed & numbered print, 10/350
Moody Southwest still life by Turid Pedersen, titled “Mimbres Elegy.” The scene presents Mimbres-style bowls with fish motifs, a textured basketry jar, flute, and woven blanket arranged on a table. Pencil-titled at center margin, pencil-signed “Turid Pedersen” at lower right, and hand-numbered 10/350 at lower left; the artist’s printed name also appears on a painted “label” within the image. Nicely matted and framed—ready to hang—this work suits rustic, desert, and modern interiors alike.
About the Artist: Turid Pedersen (Norwegian-American, b. 1945) is known for contemplative still lifes featuring Southwestern artifacts—especially Mimbres pottery—rendered with classical, Old-Master lighting. After settling in New Mexico, she developed a devoted regional following; her oils appear at Western art auctions, while her limited editions are favored by collectors of Southwest décor.
Condition
Good overall. No remarkable damage noted. Print displays cleanly; glazing may show a few specks from handling. Frame has minor scuffing to the edges consistent with normal use. Please review photos.
