Description

HP × Schönbuch Bräu 0.5L West Germany Stein—Pulse Generators, c.1963–90

Co-branded stoneware beer stein linking Hewlett-Packard with Schönbuch Bräu of Böblingen, Germany. Cream-gray salt-glazed body with bold red/green transfer graphics: HP’s vertical logotype set between “Schönbuch bräu” and “Pulse Generators.” Produced as a corporate promotional item for HP’s test-and-measurement line, likely connected to the firm’s Böblingen operations (HP’s first major German site). Impressed “0,5L” capacity to the side; underside stamped “MADE IN WEST-GERMANY,” placing production prior to 1990. Form and glaze are typical of Westerwald brewery ware; manufacturing may be by a regional contract maker (possibly Rastal or similar, unconfirmed). A fun crossover of tech history and brewery advertising—ideal for HP, vintage computing, or German beer memorabilia collections.

Condition

Very good vintage condition with light surface wear and occasional production specks in the glaze, as shown. Transfer graphics are strong and legible; no cracks observed and rim/base are stable.
