Dominion Art Deco Oscillating Desk Fan, Gray—c. 1940s–50s
Handsome mid-century Dominion Electric Mfg. Co. desk fan, Model 5205, made in Mansfield, Ohio, early–mid 1950s. Classic industrial grey over cast iron with a brass-tone concentric wire guard and four sculpted steel blades with raised rings—Dominion’s signature look. The compact pedestal hides a keyhole slot for wall mounting, while the yoke and side lock screw allow tilt/swivel adjustment for precise airflow. Model number cast into the base with a surviving Dominion foil decal to the underside and remnants of the red front decal—nice period details.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear: scattered rust, finish wear/loss to base, guard, and blades, partial loss to the red “Dominion” decal, and some adhesive residue. Operates properly in testing. See photos for details.
