Burrowes Model 405 Child-Size Folding Pool Table — Vintage 1950s Set

Burrowes Model 405 child-size portable pool and billiard table, made by The Burrowes Corporation of Portland, Maine, long recognized for their quality folding game tables. Designed for home recreation, this lightweight mid-century model features folding wood and metal construction, a green felt surface, and cream and burgundy trim with diamond sight inlays. The table retains its Burrowes maker’s mark and original Model 405 label. Included are (2) wooden cues, (29) colorful balls, and a red plastic triangle rack, consistent with the original factory set listed on the underside label (patent 2,165,875).

Produced in the 1950s–1960s, Burrowes’ compact billiard tables were marketed for family and youth play, offering authentic design and craftsmanship in a child-sized format. Today, these tables are valued for their nostalgic charm and display appeal, representing a fine example of mid-century American recreation design.

Condition:

In good, sturdy vintage condition with age-appropriate wear throughout. Displays finish loss, surface scratches, and paint wear on the frame and rails. A name is scratched into one wooden edge, and tape is visible on an underside support bar. Felt surface shows mild wear but remains intact. Frame is structurally stable and folds properly for storage. Complete with accessories as shown.
