Mid-Century Spanish Revival Dining Set by Kessler — Chile Pepper Mosaic
A distinctive mid-century Spanish Revival dining set manufactured by Kessler Industries, Inc. in El Paso, circa 1960s–1970s. The set includes four cast-metal swivel chairs and a matching pedestal-base dining table, each featuring the maker’s signature fleur-de-lis crest detailing along the chair backs. The metal frames are finished in a dark patina. The padded seats are upholstered in dark green vinyl.
The table features an octagonal top with a hand-laid chile pepper mosaic, a later artisan addition (likely 1990s–2000s), blending seamlessly with the set’s authentic character. The combination of Spanish ornamental forms and folk-inspired mosaic artistry makes this a standout statement dining or game table ensemble.
Condition:
In good overall vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The metal bases show scattered paint loss, light oxidation, and small surface abrasions throughout. The vinyl seats only light signs of use, no tears. The mosaic tabletop is stable and free of major damage, with minor edge wear consistent with age and use.
Dimensions:
- Table: 30 in. high x 42 in. diameter (octagonal top)
- Chairs: 34 in. high x 19 in. wide x 19 in. deep; seat height 18 in.
Notes:
Stamped original maker’s label seat: Kessler Industries, Inc., 8600 Gateway East, El Paso, Texas.
