Mid-Century Walnut Stereo Console Cabinet w/ Sanyo Components
A finely crafted three-piece mid-century stereo console ensemble in walnut solids and veneers, featuring rich warm grain and balanced architectural proportions. The center cabinet (No. 46 Console Cab, Ord. No. 35) is designed to house a full hi-fi system, including adjustable shelving and a hinged top revealing a KS Musicmaster Model 25B12GST turntable compartment with record dividers below.
Matching No. 47 Speaker Cab units flank the console, each finished in the same walnut veneer with woven beige speaker grilles, accommodating 27 in × 18 in speakers. The interior currently contains vintage Sanyo components — JA340 integrated amplifier, JT340 tuner, RD W340 cassette deck — and a Pickering phono cartridge (included). The piece embodies the elegance of 1970s home entertainment furniture, combining sculptural simplicity with period engineering.
Condition
Good overall condition with surface scratches, scuffs, and honest wear from use. Turntable requires service; electronics untested. Veneer remains attractive with minor finish variation.
