Elegant French Provincial-style three-drawer chest by Hickory Furniture in North Carolina, circa 1960s–1970s. Constructed of solids and veneers, the piece features three dovetailed drawers with ornate brass pulls and decorative keyhole escutcheons. Each drawer front is hand-carved with floral and foliate motifs, while the scalloped apron displays a central shell design—classic hallmarks of French Provincial craftsmanship.
The design reflects Hickory Manufacturing’s refined mid-century interpretation of 18th-century Louis XV Provincial furniture, blending Old World ornamentation with American durability and scale. A timeless, versatile piece ideal for use in a bedroom, entryway, or living space.
Condition
Excellent overall, with a small 0.25" chip to veneer on the left side near the rear. Minimal surface wear consistent with light use. Structurally sound with drawers sliding smoothly and finish retaining a rich, even tone.
