This officially licensed The Lord of the Rings Sauron silver coin was issued by the New Zealand Mint in 2021 and struck in 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver. The reverse features a powerful depiction of Sauron before Barad-dûr, encircled by the Black Speech inscription of the One Ring, with selective 24k gold plating highlighting the Ring itself.
The obverse bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, confirming its status as legal tender of Niuewith a face value of Two Dollars. This example is from a strictly limited mintage of just 3,000 coins worldwide and is accompanied by its original wooden presentation case, themed outer box, and New Zealand Mint certificate of authenticity numbered 00319.
