This privately issued United States silver bullion round bears the inscription “PAUL REVERE’S RIDE” with the date “1775,” referencing the historic event rather than a year of manufacture. No denomination is present, and the piece was not intended for circulation.
The obverse depicts Paul Revere on horseback riding left, shown in colonial attire. His right arm is raised holding a lantern, while the reins are held in the opposite hand. To the right of the figure appears the inscription “PAUL REVERE’S RIDE” above the date “1775.” A small circled “N” device is visible in the right field near the rim, functioning as a logo or hallmark as seen on the piece.
The reverse features a central lantern motif enclosed within an inner circular border. Surrounding this is the legend “INDEPENDENT LIVING.” Along the lower portion of the reverse appears the inscription “HALF TROY OZ .999 SILVER,” explicitly stating the silver content and weight.
