1994 Hilton Las Vegas $10 Silver Strike – Starlight Express – .999 Silver, Encapsulated
This listing features a 1994 Hilton Hotel & Casino $10 gaming token, issued in Las Vegas, Nevada, associated with the Starlight Express theatrical production staged at the Las Vegas Hilton during the mid-1990s. The token is a bimetallic Silver Strike issue, consisting of a .999 fine silver center encased in a brass outer ring.
The obverse displays a bust-length portrait of a uniformed male figure identified with the Starlight Express branding, with the title STARLIGHT EXPRESS prominently below and the signature Papen beneath. The surrounding brass ring is inscribed LIMITED EDITION TEN DOLLAR GAMING TOKEN, with HILTON at the base.
The reverse features the Hilton logo within a stylized architectural framework, with LAS VEGAS, NEVADA in a rectangular cartouche below. The outer ring repeats LIMITED EDITION TEN DOLLAR GAMING TOKEN, with 999 FINE SILVER at the lower perimeter. A small CT mint mark appears at the base of the inner field, attributable to Casino Tokens, Inc. These Silver Strike tokens were originally produced for casino gaming use and souvenir sales and are now collected for their silver content and association with Las Vegas casino history. The piece is housed in a protective capsule.
