6" Desert Folk Art Ceramic Tiles — Handpainted Southwestern Trivet Set (5)
Bring a splash of the Southwest into your home with this vivid set of five handpainted ceramic tile trivets — miniature works of art that celebrate desert color, folklore, and craftsmanship. Created by MagMor Studios of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Hand-N-Hand Designs of Tucson, Arizona, these tiles fuse functionality with artistry. Each 6-inch square features iconic motifs — fiery red chiles, lizards under the desert moon, longhorn cattle, and stylized wildlife — all outlined in the classic cuerda seca (or “dry line”) technique, a Spanish method dating back centuries that keeps glazes crisp and colors bold. Every tile is cork-backed for safe countertop use and wall-mountable for easy display.
Condition:
Good overall condition with strong glaze color and gloss. One tile (“Chile”) has a small chip that has been neatly touched up. Cork backing and hanging notches intact; ready for display or use.
Dimensions:
Each tile: 6 x 6 inches

Did You Know?
The cuerda seca technique used here was originally developed in 15th-century Spain and later adopted by Southwestern artisans to capture the region’s sun-soaked colors and geometric forms. Each tile is glazed by hand and fired at over 1800°F — ensuring that the colors remain as bright as a Santa Fe sunrise.
