Steinbach Prӓsent 18" German Winemaker Nutcracker w/ Box & Tag
This handmade Steinbach Prӓsent nutcracker depicts the traditional German Winemaker (Winzer), crafted in the Erzgebirge region and dating to the mid-1980s to mid-1990s based on its tag style, paintwork, and factory markings. The figure features colorful hand-painted details, a woven folk-style vest, faux fur beard, wooden stein, and bunches of grapes, along with a grape vat at his feet. It retains its original box, affixed Prӓsent hang tag, and maker’s marks stamped on the underside, confirming authentic Steinbach production.
At a full-size 18 inches tall, this is a substantial and desirable example from Steinbach’s Prӓsent series. Its craftsmanship, character, and wine-themed design make it an appealing addition for collectors of German nutcrackers and folk art.
CONDITION
Good overall condition with some wear. Notable finish wear/loss is present on the brim of the green hat (visible in close-up photos). Light surface wear consistent with age and display. Tag remains attached, and no missing components are observed. Original box shows handling wear.
