Pair of modern lacquer nightstands attributed to Baker Furniture, believed to be prototype or extremely limited-production pieces from the 1980s, acquired directly from the original owner as part of a complete custom suite. Each nightstand features a high-gloss lacquered exterior with softly rounded corners, a single drawer on heavy-duty ball-bearing rails, and a drop-down door revealing an interior storage compartment measuring approximately 8.75" × 20.25". The reflective gold-tone pedestal base provides a striking sculptural contrast consistent with Baker’s luxury postmodern aesthetic.

CONDITION

In good overall condition with scratches, scuffing, and general signs of use throughout the lacquered surfaces. Additional minor scuffs appear on the case and base. The drawer on each unit operates smoothly on heavy-duty ball-bearing rails, and the drop-down doors function properly.
