Tarahumara Style Ceramic Pot w/ Sinew Lacing & Wood–Steel Stand
Presented here is a Tarahumara-style ceramic pot, crafted in Mexico and inspired by the traditional forms of the Rarámuri people of Chihuahua. The vessel features a dark, burnished clay body wrapped in an intricate sinew lattice, creating a striking geometric pattern across the surface. This technique, seen in regional folk-art adaptations adds both visual interest and structural character.
The pot rests on a rustic tripod stand composed of natural wood posts joined with sinew bindings and supported by steel crossbars. This combination of materials reflects Northern Mexican folk-craft traditions and enhances the sculptural presence of the piece. Marked “MEXICO” on the underside, it makes a compelling decorative accent for Southwestern, ethnographic, or rustic interior settings.
