First is the 1999 Special Limited Edition Tropical Furby (Model 70-897), released exclusively through ToysRUs.com. Dressed in a neon, floral island wrap and sporting tropical goggles, this vibrant Furby captures the playful design experiments that defined Tiger Electronics’ most imaginative era. Still factory sealed, it proudly displays its gold limited-edition medallion and original packaging graphics promising endless surprises and “Furbish” chatter.
Also included is the 1998 Furby (Model 70-800)—one of the earliest production styles that helped spark the international Furby phenomenon. Its soft grey-and-white fur, peach feet, and original holographic hang tag illustrate how Tiger blended animatronics with plush toy design to create one of the decade’s most memorable collectibles.
