Description

Dorothy Mccray 1992 Mixed Media Cat Composition, Framed

This original mixed-media watercolor and acrylic painting by Dorothy Westaby McCray presents a lively, abstracted cat rendered in sweeping black linework and vibrant marbled color. Signed and dated ’92 at the lower right, the piece displays the artist’s characteristic fluid motion and bold palette, creating an expressive, modern composition with strong visual energy. The artwork is framed under glass within a distressed white wood frame and wide cream mat, giving it a clean yet rustic presentation that complements its dynamic style.

The piece brings a striking burst of color and movement to any room and is ideal for collectors of contemporary animal imagery or abstract-figurative works. A distinctive and engaging addition to a home office, living room, or creative space.

CONDITION

In good condition overall, with scattered debris visible behind the glass and minor shifting of the artwork within the mat window. Frame shows light wear consistent with handling. Colors of the artwork remain strong and clear. A cleaning and reset of the matting would enhance presentation.
