Dietz No.40 Traffic Gard Lantern – Red Globe, Syracuse NY
This vintage Dietz No. 40 Traffic Gard lantern features its original red-painted steel body paired with the classic threaded red glass globe embossed “DIETZ No. 40.” Produced in Syracuse, New York, this model was commonly used for roadway, construction, and rail signaling throughout the mid-20th century. The piece retains its vented top, internal burner assembly, and protective wire cage, along with the distinctive wide base designed for stability outdoors. Its bold color and industrial form make it an appealing display item for collectors of Americana and transportation artifacts.

CONDITION
