Canadian Pacific Railway Tall-Globe Lantern by Hiram L. Piper Co.
This authentic Canadian Pacific Railway tall-globe lantern was manufactured by The Hiram L. Piper Co. Ltd., likely between 1935 and 1955, based on its galvanized construction, fixed-globe frame, and original-style burner assembly. The bonnet is clearly stamped “C.P.R.”, and the matching round clear globe is acid-etched with the same railway initials—an important indicator that the frame and globe remain an original pairing. The lantern features Piper’s classic vented top, protective wire cage, and wooden bail handle, all characteristic of mid-century CPR contract models.
A solid example of a working railway lantern from Canada’s most collectible rail line, offering strong display appeal for transportation, industrial, and railroad collections.
