Adlake No. 250 Kero Lantern – D.L.&W.R.R., Red Globe
This Adams & Westlake Adlake No. 250 Kero railroad lantern is marked D.L.&W.R.R. for the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad and carries patent dates including May 9, 1922, placing it within the early–mid 20th century Kero production era. It features Adlake’s classic cold-blast design with a wire-guard frame and a correct red glass globe. The construction details—vented base, stamped top, and standard Kero burner—align with the 1923–1935 manufacturing period when these lanterns were widely used across the DL&W system.
A solid, display-ready example of authentic American railroad equipment, this lantern presents well and remains a desirable collectible for railroadiana enthusiasts, early transportation collectors, or industrial décor settings.
CONDITION
Good overall, with scuffing, finish wear/loss, and age-appropriate wear to the metal frame. The paint is not original. The globe has no damage, but does show paint overspray and adhesive residue. Frame and handle are secure, and markings are readable. See photos for details.
