Justrite Brass Carbide Miner’s Lamp – No. 3019 Early Model
This compact Justrite brass carbide miner’s lamp is an early “PAT APPLIED FOR” example, stamped “TRADE MARK / Justrite / MADE IN U.S.A.” and numbered 3019 on the underside. Crafted in solid brass with a fluted lower chamber and rounded water reservoir, it features the classic Justrite reflector bowl, striker wheel assembly, and hinged top cap. Its early construction details and low production number suggest an early 20th-century variant, appealing to collectors of mining history and vintage industrial lighting.
A handsome display piece with authentic age and character, this lamp captures the rugged engineering of carbide illumination from the era before electric cap lamps became standard. A strong addition for collectors of Americana, mining equipment, or early technology.
CONDITION
Good overall condition with age-appropriate wear. Surfaces show tarnish, scattered marks, and oxidation consistent with use. Some buildup remains inside the carbide chamber, and the seams show expected discoloration. Hardware appears complete, but the lamp is untested. Please review all photos for details.
