Set of 3 Antique Flower Frogs – Glass & Ceramic, One Marked England
This set includes three antique early-20th-century flower frogs, each representing a distinct material and style once essential for structured floral arranging. The green pressed-glass example is marked “Made in England,” “Patent 1830/1910,” and “4,” corresponding to an English patent from the period and indicating its place within a size series. Also included is a clear domed glass frog typical of 1910–1940 production, valued for its clarity and sculptural form. Completing the group is a brown ceramic frog with a glossy black glazed top, reflecting Arts & Crafts–era pottery practices.
Together, these pieces provide an educational look at the evolution of floral arranging tools and offer strong decorative and collectible appeal.
CONDITION
In good antique condition with scratches, chips, fleabites, oxidation and finish wear to the ceramic piece, and age-appropriate signs of use throughout. Surface residue and marks appear on the glass frogs. All apertures remain intact.
