The rug features a traditional mihrab (prayer-niche) design, with a deep red central field, stepped green base, and stylized floral bouquets—motifs consistent with Anatolian workshop production. Multiple ornate borders in soft rose, cream, and indigo frame the composition, and the fine weave measures approximately 208 KPI, typical of Kayseri’s tighter, more precise construction.

Kayseri prayer rugs of this era were produced both for devotional use and for export, valued for their craftsmanship and decorative appeal.
