Glenn R. Hinz “Twin Yei” Copper Relief Sculpture, 40x20
Original copper relief sculpture “Twin Yei” by Arizona artist Glenn R. Hinz, signed lower right. This striking panel showcases Hinz’s hallmark techniques—hand-cut, scribed, hammered, and deeply etched copper enriched with vivid turquoise patina and heat-oxidized coloration. The central design features two stylized Yei figures framed by spirals and geometric border motifs, all elevated by the dimensional texture of lacquer-sealed copper. Set within its fitted metal frame, the piece delivers strong visual impact and a refined Southwestern aesthetic.
A notable example of Hinz’s craftsmanship, this work reflects the methods outlined in his studio literature, where each sculpture is fully handcrafted and finished to prevent discoloration. Its scale, color, and sculptural depth make it an excellent focal point for Southwestern, lodge, rustic, or contemporary interiors.
CONDITION
In good condition overall, with light surface wear and natural patina variation typical of handcrafted copper. No dents, losses, or structural issues observed. The frame is secure and clean. Please review the photos for a complete visual reference.

Glenn R. Hinz is an Arizona-based copper relief artist known for his distinctive handcrafted sculptures featuring Southwestern themes and bold patinated surfaces. For decades, Hinz has produced copper artworks for private collectors, corporations, and public clients, with pieces placed in homes and collections across North America, Europe, and Asia.
His process involves cutting each copper sheet to size before scribing, hammering, and etching the metal on both sides. Coloration is achieved through acid patina and heat oxidation, and every finished work is sealed with lacquer to preserve the surface. Hinz creates both framed panels and mounted reliefs, and he regularly completes special commissions for residential, corporate, and governmental projects.
Working from Dewey, Arizona, Hinz continues to develop richly textured copper compositions that blend traditional motifs with contemporary craftsmanship.
