Bob McWilliam “Soaring” Stained Glass Kaleidoscope Set #426, Signed 1990

A striking stained-glass kaleidoscope set by artist Bob McWilliam, titled “Soaring” and designated Set #426, completed in January 1990. The kaleidoscope is signed and dated on the framework and includes the artist’s original printed document. Rendered in opalescent pink, white and warm-toned glass, the hexagonal scope rests on a custom carved cherry base designed with integrated compartments. The hinged object chamber holds 100+ individual pieces, allowing limitless visual combinations and patterns—an essential hallmark of McWilliam’s interactive approach to kaleidoscope design.

CONDITION

In excellent condition with no cracked or missing glass panels. Copper framework shows only light patina consistent with age and original materials. Wood base is smooth with minimal surface wear. Hinged chamber operates properly, and all 100+ loose viewing pieces are included, as shown.
