Description

Spanish Revival Hand-Carved Wooden Armchair

This Spanish Revival armchair is crafted from solid pine, displaying bold hand-carved foliate motifs, deeply shaped scrolled arms, and a decorative lower apron. Its construction reflects traditional regional craftsmanship, featuring mortise-and-tenon joints secured with wooden pegs and thick pine seat planks that show natural aging and splitting typical of solid wood. Hand-tool marks and slight asymmetries in the carving further highlight its artisan-made origin. Structurally substantial, with squared legs and functional stretchers, the chair offers both sturdy utility and genuine Old World character.

The warm, aged pine surface and carving style make this an ideal accent for hacienda, rustic, and Spanish Revival interiors. Please review photos for all design and construction details.

CONDITION

In good condition overall, showing scratches, scuffs, finish wear/loss, stains, and various indentations. The seat bears old burn marks and ink stains. Approximately 0.5" chip to the left arm. Signs of honest, age-appropriate use throughout. Sturdy.
