Pair of Mexican Folk Art Milagro Tin Chairs – Handcrafted, Wood & Metal
Pair of handcrafted Mexican folk art miniature chairs, made of wood and covered in embossed tin with decorative copper and brass corner accents. Each is embellished with Milagros (small religious charms) and traditional stamped motifs. The larger chair features a framed Virgin of Guadalupe image inset at the seat, flanked by turned gilt spindles on the backrest. The smaller companion chair mirrors the design with stylized floral patterns and heart motifs. Both reflect the vibrant devotional craftsmanship characteristic of Mexican tinware artistry.
Rich in cultural symbolism and hand-finished detail, these diminutive chairs make striking decorative accents or collectible examples of regional folk tradition.
Condition:
Good condition overall, with minor surface wear and natural variations from hand tooling. No damage noted. Tin retains a bright patina, and wood shows only light handling marks. Both retain “Hecho en México” stickers on the underside.
Dimensions:
- Small Chair: 5" H × 2 3/8" W × 2 3/8" D
- Large Chair: 10" H × 5 1/2" W × 5" D
