Description

Bob Marshall “Genuine Sports Saddle,” U.S. Pat. 5,018,340 — 17″ Seat w/ Stand

Authentic “Genuine Sports Saddle,” U.S. Patent No. 5,018,340, designed by Bob Marshall of Salem, Kentucky. This innovative Western saddle reflects Marshall’s pioneering treeless or reduced-tree construction, introduced in the early 1990s to provide a lighter, more flexible seat with improved rider balance and closer contact with the horse. The saddle features tan suede panels, smooth leather trim at horn and cantle, and decorative silver-tone conchos bearing the embossed patent badge.

A hallmark of American equestrian design, this model embodies the performance-oriented craftsmanship that made Bob Marshall saddles highly regarded among endurance and trail riders. Offered complete with its fitted metal display stand.

Condition

Good condition overall, showing finish wear, staining, and discoloration consistent with age and active use. Suede surfaces display areas of darkening and color variation; seam wear at stirrup leathers and straps. Stitching remains otherwise intact, and hardware is secure with light tarnish to conchos
