Paul McCobb Planner Group Maple Coffee Table for Winchendon
A mid-century modern coffee table designed by Paul McCobb for Winchendon Furniture Company, part of the iconic Planner Group series, circa 1950s. Constructed of solid maple with a warm natural finish, the table features McCobb’s hallmark simplicity—clean lines, beveled edges, and 1.75" tapered legs that provide a light, elegant stance. Although unmarked, the form and construction are consistent with documented Planner Group examples.
Introduced in 1949, McCobb’s Planner Group helped define postwar American modernism with its functional design and timeless proportions. Shown in the final image with the matching side table (lot K152) for reference only. Both lots will close simultaneously, offering bidders the opportunity to acquire the pair.

Condition
Excellent condition. The maple surface remains smooth and even in tone with minimal wear. Structure is sturdy and well-balanced.
