Pakistani-Afghan Kilim Rug — 5’6” x 7’11”, Circa 2000, Geometric Pattern
Handwoven Kilim rug from the Pakistan–Afghanistan region, circa 2000. This finely woven flat-weave features a traditional geometric grid of diamond and cross motifs rendered in earthy terracotta, beige, and soft blue tones. The reversible weave and subtle tonal transitions highlight the artisanal craftsmanship characteristic of tribal looms. Natural vegetable dyes lend the piece its softly muted palette, now gently aged to an appealing patina.
A versatile accent rug suited to both contemporary and traditional interiors, valued for its authentic regional character and warm, balanced design.
Condition:
In moderate condition with visible fading along one side and scattered discoloration from UV exposure. Some old repairs are present but remain stable and do not affect structural integrity. The surface shows general wear consistent with age and use. Please review photos closely for additional detail.
