Elegant Chinese cinnabar lacquer lidded jar with a carved wooden stand, featuring finely detailed floral and foliate motifs in relief against a patterned ground. The jar sits on a brass base and is lined with a brilliant cobalt-blue enamel interior and underside, creating a striking contrast to the vivid red lacquer exterior. The lid echoes the floral design. Presented on a carved black wood stand with traditional openwork apron.
