Finely carved Chinese cinnabar lacquer jar with a fitted lid and carved wooden stand. The exterior features intricate raised floral and foliate motifs framed by scrolling borders, executed with precision against a geometric diaper background. The jar is mounted on brass at the rim and base, with a lustrous cobalt-blue enamel interior and underside providing a vivid contrast to the red lacquer exterior. The lid, topped with a brass finial, mirrors the vessel’s floral carving. Displayed on an ebonized wood stand with a pierced design.
