Description

Pair of Diminutive Folk Art Hand-Painted Chairs, Blue & Red, Rush Seats

A delightful pair of diminutive folk art children’s chairs, each crafted with a sturdy wooden frame and woven rush seat. Hand-painted in bold shades of red and blue, both are decorated with whimsical floral and bird motifs—each brushstroke adding to their rustic charm. The lively, timeworn colors and naïve artistry evoke mid-20th century Mexican or Southwestern craft traditions, where such pieces were lovingly made by hand for home and hearth.

Condition
In fair condition with chipping, scuffing, fading, and finish wear/loss throughout. The blue chair shows some wobble. Rush seats remain intact though aged, with natural fraying. Surfaces display honest wear consistent with handmade vintage furniture.

Dimensions
Overall: 16" H × 11.5" W × 9.75" D
Seat: 7.5" H × 9" W × 9" D
Please note: Campbell’s soup can shown for scale.
