Hand-Painted Flagstone Kachina Figure – Double-Sided, Signed, w/ Iron Stand
Impressive hand-painted flagstone artwork depicting a ceremonial Kachina or spirit dancer figure, richly rendered in earthy red, ochre, turquoise, and white pigments. The image portrays a dynamic warrior spirit adorned with a wolf headdress, traditional regalia, and symbolic accessories, each detail emphasized with expressive brushwork. Executed on a natural slab of flagstone, the piece is double-sided—the reverse showing abstract washes of color and a distinctive pictorial artist’s mark at the lower left corner. A leather strap is secured at the top for wall display, and a custom black wrought-iron stand is included for upright presentation.
This work reflects a strong influence of Southwestern Native artistic traditions, combining cultural motifs with modern craftsmanship. Its double-sided format, substantial scale, and hand-rendered texture give it strong visual and decorative presence, making it a compelling focal point for collectors of Indigenous-inspired or regional art.
