Taos Pueblo–Style Rawhide Drum w/ Handle, Wood Body, 9 x 11 in
Taos Pueblo–style double-headed drum crafted with a hollow wood body and natural rawhide heads, tensioned by hand-scalloped edges and criss-cross rawhide lacing. A braided rawhide side handle allows easy carrying or display. Materials and construction are consistent with contemporary Taos drum-making (frames of cottonwood/aspen/pine; heads of natural hide), known for deep, resonant tone and durable build. An appealing functional percussion instrument and a classic Southwestern display piece.
Condition
Good, no damage observed. Natural color variations and light handling marks to wood and hide consistent with handmade construction and use; lacing tight, both heads intact.
