Dansk IHQ Kobenstyle Blue Cast Iron Baking Dish, France, c. 1960s–70s
Elegant Kobenstyle enameled cast iron baking dish designed by Jens H. Quistgaard (IHQ) for Dansk International Designs Ltd, made in France, circa 1960s–1970s. This handsome rectangular model features Quistgaard’s signature minimalist form with smooth integrated handles and a glossy cobalt blue enamel exterior contrasted by a clean white interior. The unglazed cast iron underside confirms its early French production—substantial in weight and highly durable.
A classic example of Quistgaard’s philosophy that cookware should be both beautiful and functional, this piece embodies the timeless marriage of Scandinavian design and French craftsmanship. Perfect for roasting, baking, or as a striking display in a modern or mid-century kitchen.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with visible chipping and enamel wear along the rim, consistent with honest age and use.
Dimensions:
Approx. 2" H x 14" L (with handles) x 8" W.
Campbell’s soup can shown for scale.
