Dansk France IHQ Kobenstyle 6-Qt Red Enamel Casserole by Jens Quistgaard
Large Kobenstyle enameled-steel casserole designed by Jens H. Quistgaard for Dansk Designs France, circa 1968–1972. This substantial 6-quart model features Quistgaard’s iconic X-handle lid, which doubles as a trivet, and gracefully curved handles integrated into the body—hallmarks of his celebrated Danish modern aesthetic. Finished in a vibrant red enamel exterior with a white interior, it perfectly reflects the clean, functional elegance that made Kobenstyle cookware a mid-century design classic.
Stamped underside: DANSK DESIGNS FRANCE IHQ.
A desirable large-capacity example from the French production era—ideal for use or display, and a standout addition to any Dansk or Scandinavian design collection.
Condition
In very good vintage condition, showing light wear consistent with age. Small enamel chips and pinpoint losses along rim and handle, and faint utensil marks inside. The glossy red finish remains bright, and the piece retains full function and strong display appeal.
