Set of 3 Chinese Peacock Wall Panels – Mother-of-Pearl or Style Inlay, 32″ Frame
Set of three Chinese shell wall panels featuring pairs of peacocks amid flowering branches and foliage. The intricate compositions are executed in luminous shell-like materials in shades of green, yellow, pink, and ivory, set against a glossy black ground. Each panel bears gilt Chinese calligraphy reading “金如生輝” (Jīn rú shēng huī) — translating to “Radiant as Gold” — along with a red artist’s seal.
Presented matted behind glass within silver-tone shadowbox frames with black inner borders and fitted metal hangers. A fine decorative trio blending traditional Chinese artistry and auspicious symbolism, suitable as a cohesive wall display or standalone works.
Condition
Good condition overall. Frames exhibit scuffing, surface wear, and minor touch-ups, including a 1-inch retouched area on the lower left corner of one frame. Interior glass surfaces show dust and residue. Artwork appears intact and vibrant under glass, with no visible losses to inlaid materials.
