Afghan Handwoven Wool Kilim Rug — Geometric Tribal Design, 5’2” x 13’1”
A handwoven Afghan kilim rug from the third quarter of the 20th century, crafted from 100% wool with a fine 100 KPI weave. This impressive flatweave features a classic geometric diamond lattice pattern in bold hues of indigo, ochre, rose, and ivory, framed by stepped borders and striped ends. The design is emblematic of traditional Afghan craftsmanship, merging artistry and function in a large-scale textile of exceptional visual rhythm.
Measuring approximately 5 feet 2 inches by 13 feet 1 inch (157” x 62”), this kilim offers versatile use as a statement floor covering or decorative wall display. Its lively palette and authentic tribal aesthetic make it both collectible and highly decorative.
Market value estimated around $1,000 by Armen Dohanian III, ARCS Certified Rug Specialist (CRS), Accredited Member (ISA AM), fourth-generation rug cleaner and appraiser..
