Description

Josefina Aguilar Signed Fired Clay Cross with Trio of Colorful Folk Art Crosses

A radiant collection of four handcrafted Mexican folk art wall crosses, each alive with color, texture, and expressive craftsmanship. The centerpiece is a signed fired clay cross by Josefina Aguilar, the celebrated Oaxacan artist known for her deeply symbolic sculptural work. Hand-sculpted and painted in rich, earthy tones, her cross features raised imagery of the Sacred Heart, rooster, sun, and other spiritual motifs — each rendered with Aguilar’s unmistakable warmth and storytelling style. Accompanying her piece are three complementary crosses: a vivid hand-painted ceramic, a sparkling wood-and-sequin cross, and a large geometric wood cross—together forming a joyful “trio” that perfectly complements Aguilar’s masterpiece.
