H.H. Heiser Denver Working Saddle – Early-Mid 20th Century Western Classic
An authentic H.H. Heiser Saddlery Co. (Denver, Colorado) working saddle, crafted in dark brown leather with an 18-inch seat, high cantle, and laced horn. The maker’s distinctive oval “H.H. Heiser Denver” stamp appears on the skirt—an enduring hallmark of one of the American West’s most esteemed saddle makers. Traditional features include rawhide-wrapped wooden stirrups, double skirts, and original latigos, built for utility and endurance in the field.
Hermann H. Heiser arrived in Denver in 1863 and founded his saddlery in 1874, later registering his iconic triple “H” trademark—the ninth ever recorded in Colorado. By the early 1900s, Heiser saddles were renowned worldwide for their superior craftsmanship and durability, making surviving examples highly collectible today. This saddle reflects that proud legacy of Western workmanship and frontier heritage. Stand not included; shown for illustration purposes only.
Condition
Good overall, showing surface wear, scuffs, and minor cracking consistent with age and honest use. Leather remains solid, though some straps and rigging show dryness. Stitching is largely intact. Maker’s stamp is partially worn but legible. Please see photos for complete details.
