Early 20th C. Duncan Phyfe–Style Mahogany Game Table — Lexington, NC
Early 20th-century mahogany game table, stamped on the underside “Lexington, N.C.”, produced by a North Carolina maker during the Colonial Revival era. Constructed of solid and veneered mahogany, the table features a 3.5-inch turned center column on a four-legged pedestal base with brass-capped claw feet. The quadruple drop-leaf top expands to a larger playing surface and includes pull-out circular cup holders at each corner — a sophisticated, functional design inspired by Duncan Phyfe’s Federal period style.
A well-proportioned and finely crafted example of early American revival furniture, offering both decorative appeal and historical interest.
