Description

2019 Apollo 11 3-Coin Proof Set PF70 UC — 1/200 Don Everhart Signed

A standout modern commemorative marking the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing (July 20, 1969). Authorized by Public Law 114-282, all three coins share the celebrated curved (concave/convex) design: a lunar boot print obverse chosen via public competition, and the reverse reflecting Buzz Aldrin’s visor with the flag, lunar module, and Neil Armstrong. This set is elevated further by PF70 Ultra Cameo grades from NGC and matching hand-signed Don Everhart labels—one of only 200 such coordinated signature sets, presented in a black lacquer case with COA.

Collectability is amplified by several “firsts” and milestones: the first curved 5-oz U.S. coin and the first 5-oz U.S. proof silver commemorative, plus the program’s first .999 fine silver dollar. Together they form a museum-grade tribute to space exploration and U.S. Mint innovation.

As we approach 2025, this set gains renewed interest amid ongoing celebrations of the Apollo legacy and new U.S. Mint Innovation coins honoring America’s space achievements—including 2025 issues featuring NASA’s Mission Control (Texas) and the Space Shuttle (Florida). These modern releases highlight the enduring significance of the Apollo 11 mission and enhance the desirability of its official 50th Anniversary Proofs.
