Description

Donald Vann “Into Another Life” Signed Ltd Ed Print 380/1500 – Oak Frame

Limited edition print titled “Into Another Life” by acclaimed Cherokee artist Donald Vann (American, b. 1949). Numbered 380/1500 and hand-signed lower left in pencil. Dated 1980 within the artwork. This evocative winter scene captures two Native riders in quiet vigil before a burial platform, rendered in Vann’s distinctive soft gradients and contemplative palette. His works are celebrated for conveying Native spiritual and cultural themes with exceptional subtlety and reverence.

Professionally framed under glass in a solid oak frame with custom double matting in plum and gold, accented by feather and star motifs. The verso retains original gallery and framer documentation: Spirit Winds Gift Source and Gallery, with framing by Woodworks and matting by Brother’s Leather. A beautifully presented, early limited-edition work by one of the foremost Native American artists of the 20th century.

Artist Background

Donald Vann is a celebrated Cherokee painter known for his ethereal depictions of Native life and legend. Born in 1949 in Stilwell, Oklahoma, Vann was influenced by Cherokee oral tradition and the quiet beauty of the Ozark landscape. His limited editions, produced primarily during the 1970s–1990s, are highly sought by collectors for their luminous technique and contemplative depth.
